Perhaps the most important question to ask is why do we need to take care of the forest? Forests provide all kinds of support to human life and are crucial to all activities that happen around us. In fact energy forests in environmental terms are refereed to as carbon sinks because they absorb the excess amount of carbon dioxide that is exhausted into the atmosphere.

In the Savannah trees like the acacia and miombo forests are needed to keep top soil intact to avoid soil erosion in a situation where soil erosion, deforestation and climate change is rife in areas near towns and settlements.

The Environment therefore plays a crucial part in our lives and that is way this project is designed with the view of supporting the environment. One of the ways it will support the environment is by; extracting biomass in an environmentally friendly fashion; to include amongst other means;

• The harvesting of only broken trees and dry twigs like it used to be in the old days.
• Small Scale chitemene system can be accepted as a good alternative.
• Natural forest need to be supported with the planting of energy forest.

It is important to clean our environment because of high level of pollution both in and outside dwellings creates health problems especially those associated with the lungs and the eyes.
