 In most developing countries the majority
of household and institutions are depending on firewood
and charcoal as the only source of energy for their
every day cooking. This is a strain to the forest
and environment and immediate action has to take place.
In
order to save forest and environment, the
Bio-energy Program has in mind to focus
on more different sources for household
energy than firewood and charcoal.
By
introducing new simple combustion technology
with complete combustion, more types of
biomass can be utilised as household fuel
and more energy created. Complete combustion
will reduce the air pollution and reduce
the energy consumption.
Forest will
be saved and the environment outside and inside the
kitchen will be improved. Health situation for kitchen-personnel
will be amended and new jobs will be created.
